Conversation before a personalized Signature Reset session

Why My Signature Reset Starts Before the Massage Table

The first few minutes of a bodywork session can change the rest of it. I want to know how you are arriving today, not just where you checked a box for pain.

At Zenfinity Bodywork, the Signature Reset is a two-hour appointment. About thirty minutes are available before the table for conversation, comfortable movement and optional somatic exploration. Then we have ninety minutes of hands-on work. It gives us room to make the session yours.

We start with a real conversation

What has your week been like? What feels tight or tired? How would you like to feel when you leave? Your answer can be simple. You might say, “My shoulders need help, and my mind has been running all day.”

We also talk about pressure, boundaries and any areas you want me to avoid. You can change your mind later. Good communication makes the hands-on work more useful.

Movement gives us another way to notice

I may invite you to turn your head, move a shoulder, or notice what happens when you take an easy breath. There is no performance to get right. We are just looking at what feels comfortable today.

Sometimes that little bit of movement helps us choose where to focus. Sometimes it tells us to slow down or use a different position. We can adjust the plan as we learn.

The somatic part is always optional

If you want, I can guide your attention toward the support of the floor, a change in your breathing, or a sensation you notice in your body. You do not have to explain your past or try to create an emotional release.

You can also say, “I just want massage today.” That is enough. My work is a conversation with your body, and you remain in charge of your comfort.

Gentle movement and body awareness before massage

Then the table work has a direction

I may combine slow deep bodywork, focused muscle work, gentle joint mobilization and other massage techniques. The conversation and movement give me context, but your feedback on the table still guides the pressure and pace.

There is time to focus on several priorities without rushing from one spot to the next. If quiet feels good, we let the room be quiet.

The right amount of time is personal

The Focus Reset starts on the table and is suited to focused attention. The Signature Reset gives us the added space described here. The Immersive Reset offers two hours of hands-on work after that beginning if you want a longer experience.

You can come to my private studio in Canoga Park near Woodland Hills, or ask about an at-residence session. Tell me what is going on in your body and what you want from your time.
